Permanent eyebrows whether Micro blade, Powder, Hair Stroke or Solid help women and men whose eyebrow hair is lightly colored, thin in places, sparse overall, or nonexistent. Eyebrow hair loss can result from years of tweezing or waxing, medical conditions (e.g. scars or Alopecia areata), or medications (e.g. Chemotherapy). Semi Permanent Eyebrow pigmentation eliminates and minimizes the daily use of pencils or powders to fill-in, reshape, or recolor brows. Eyebrow shape, thickness, color, density, height, balance, and symmetry can be corrected once and for all with permanent Eyebrows to improve the attractiveness of a person’s face.

Shape and Design

Eyebrows “frame” the eyes and are a reference point that determines how facial features are perceived. The appropriate eyebrow shape and size can appear to lift a person’s eyes creating a more youthful appearance. Properly designed eyebrows can balance the distance between eyes or modify the look of prominent or deeply set eyes. A good eyebrow design can also make cheekbones appear more defined and influence the perception of the person’s nose size.

A new permanent eyebrow procedure includes a face and eyebrow analysis with a new design if you desire. Eve will create custom designed eyebrows that are flattering and balanced. And you will participate in the entire process so you’re happy with the end result.  You will notice by my work that I don’t use one uniform brow for every person as I have seen many Micro-blade eyebrows from other technicians this way.  Your Brow will be customized to your desires, face shape, age and overall look.

Micro blade brows are the preferred choice for most but certain limitations apply to this procedure.  Clients with very oily skin or large pores are not candidates for Micro-blading as the pigment will not heal into the skin.   In this case the digital machine implantation is the other option.  This can be done with a hair stroke (thicker hairs than Micro-blading) or powder stoke.

Pigment Options

Eyebrow Enhancement: This procedure is great for people with thin, partial, or very light eyebrows. It supplements existing eyebrow hair to improve shape, thickness, arch, or balance. Also, bald spots or bare sections can be hidden or filled-in. For the most natural look, a simulated hair or brush stroke technique to create the look of “hairs.” using a Micro Blade method or a digital implantation method.  Eve can also achieve a soft shaded or powdery look or sharp defined application with a digital micro pigmentation device.

Full Eyebrow Creation: This procedure is for people with very sparse or no eyebrow hair.  Eve creates eyebrows “from scratch” and sometimes uses a stencil depending on the circumstance in a shape that is most flattering to the face. She create a brush/ hair like stoke or create brows with a powder or soft fill-in technique or sharp defined look.  The Micro blade method is the preferred more natural looking method that simulates natural hairs in the brow.

Preparing for Your Procedure Appointment

  • You should allow at least 2 to 3 hours for your initial procedure.
  • If you usually shape your brows by tweezing, shaving, threading, or waxing, you should do so a few days before your appointment.
  • You should stop taking any blood-thinning products 3 days to 2 weeks before (e.g. aspirin, alcohol, fish oils) unless prescribed by your physician.
  • You should also wear your eyebrow pencil or powder for style evaluation and bring it with you for color matching.

At Your Consult and Procedure Appointment

At your permanent eyebrow consult, you will be given forms to read and complete including a medical history that will be reviewed by Eve at your actual procedure.  She will analyze your face shape, features, and eyebrows including their symmetry (evenness). Eve will pencil different designs so you can see what you like best unless you already know what you desire.  Together you will select color.  You will be asked to pick up topical numbing cream prior to your appointment date and come to your procedure pre-numbed.  On the day of the procedure, Eve will do more precise marking and measuring of your face and your design will be re-created and drawn on.  More topical anesthetic will be used to continue numb your brow area.  Anesthetics will also be applied during the procedure for your comfort. Before and after photos will be taken for your file and your pigment colors will be recorded for future reference.

After Your Procedure Appointment

Immediately after the procedure, your eyebrows will be darker than you want. There will be some mild swelling and redness that will clear in a day or two. The color will appear to darken in the first few days and then will lighten after the first week and gradually soften and stabilize over the next few weeks. During the first week of healing, your eyebrows will be dark. You must also avoid swimming, saunas, and the sun, so you should keep this in mind when scheduling your procedure. To minimize any chance of an allergic reaction or infection at home, you will be given detailed after care instructions with a product for application at no additional cost.

Follow-up and Maintenance Appointments

Your eyebrow color will gradually lighten and stabilize in the weeks following your procedure. If they heal lighter than you want, they can be darkened with a second application at a follow-up visit (“Re-Touch”). You may need a follow-up to adjust shape or add color to areas that healed lighter from tissue swelling or bleeding during the process. Ideally, your second visit should be completed between 4 to 8 weeks post procedure. Because permanent makeup can fade over time, you should plan maintenance visits; 1-2 years for Micro bladed Brows and 1-5 years for digitally implanted brows to keep your color looking fresh. These visits are typically shorter and are half the cost of the original procedure.
